Dear Trinity Friends

Thank you for your patience. The mid-week devotion will return on Wednesday, May 22.

I am very grateful to you for your prayers and care for my family as we face a sudden death.

In 2 Corinthians 4:7-9, the Apostle Paul writes

But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us. We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

Sometimes events and circumstances overtake us and we struggle to know how to respond. Our strength deserts us and our focus strays. Nevertheless, no matter how we feel, God's grace is more than able to sustain us. The verses in 2 Corinthians 4 remind me to keep trusting.

May you know the peace and grace of the Lord Jesus.
