The Phillips Group is a fellowship group for women of all ages. Our purpose is to provide practical and prayerful support to Canadian Baptist Ministries Field Staff. We participate in a variety of at home mission projects, such as sewing, knitting, collecting used postage stamps, Campbell’s soup labels, travel soaps, lotions and shampoos, wool and old greeting cards. If you would like to help us with our “collecting”, items may be left in mail slots #29 or #30 just outside the library.

A “daytime” meeting fills the need for women who find it difficult to be out in the evening. We gather in the church lounge at 11:00am every third Monday of the month, September through June. Programs include inspiring devotionals; interesting speakers; intercessory prayer; and missionary highlights. We read God’s Word, and sing joyful praises and come away encouraged by spending two wonderful hours of warm fellowship together.

In June and December we are treated to a delicious prepared luncheon. At other meetings, we bring our own sandwich. Our social convener and her helpers are wonderful bakers. Each month we are delightfully surprised by the treats they provide for us. You have a standing invitation to come and join in the happy conversation around the tables. We have fun, fellowship and get to know each other just a little bit better….and all this while drinking many cups of fragrant tea!

If you require transportation, it can be arranged by calling Edeltraud Goetze or Mildred Axelson. Please refer to the church directory for telephone numbers. We’re looking forward to welcoming, YOU!
